Welcome.
The name's Hoot.
My purpose is to write nice things in people's ask box.
Someone needs to balance out the hate and I've chosen to try.
I will make a difference.
Enjoy.

This is another one of those blogs that you're more than welcome to use as you need. Whether it be to rant and rave, to get something off your chest, to have someone laugh or cry with you, to get some advice from, and anything else you could think of!

I will get back to you as soon as I can, which will probably be within a day or two. I have no judgments, and you don't need to reveal your identity at all!

Snapshots from Sherlock Holmes’ first 24 hours with his new mummies!

My girlfriend and I adopted him yesterday from a cat rescue society. His nickname was Mr Fancy Pants, now promptly renamed Sherlock Holmes. He was shy at first, but he is quickly becoming more curious and adventurous. We are completely in love!

Clearly you can expect plenty more photos throughout his life!

"No one in the history of the world ever died of a broken heart. So every time I’ve cried in bed for four days and eaten endless bags of cookies and refused to bathe, I’ve always known in my deepest, darkest misery that I would be okay. I look at my grandparents, at friends who’ve been happily married for eons and my sister who married the love of her life. I know those guys are out there so I’m willing to suffer heartbreak to find him.”

She didn’t know when or how it happened. All she knew was that it did happen and it wasn’t going away. She’d spent days, weeks even, going over it again and again in her head. She tried to find a loophole, reasoning, anything that could help explain what was going on but she always came out empty handed.
Having had enough of stewing over it on her own, Regina grabbed her coat and keys and left her Manor. There was only one thing she could do. Once she told someone else, they’d tell her she was crazy, and she’d be able to put it all behind her.
At least that was her plan in theory.
It was a reasonable day for Storybrooke so instead of taking her car she wrapped her jacket around herself tighter and walked towards the centre of town. She ignored the people that tried to talk to her, having only one mission in mind and no desire to deviate from that.
She had just reached Granny’s when she heard the familiar jingle of the bell over the door. Emma Swan was leaving the diner, a warm smile over her face which Regina could only assume was caused by their son whom she knew was inside with his grandparents.
“Miss Swan, could I have a word with you?”
The Sheriff’s smile faltered slightly before she answered with a nod.
Now she was face to face with her problem – that’s what she had been calling Emma in her head – she was suddenly very shy and self-conscious.
“Is everything alright?” Emma asked, needing to fill in the silence and prompt the other woman.
“There’s something I haven’t told you.” Regina said in a rush of words, her eyes trained on the ground between them.
Emma sighed, anticipation of something bad filling her to the core. “What now?”
Regina looked around. She knew she had to tell Emma, but she wasn’t ready for everyone else to hear it yet – if she would ever be ready. On that note, she lost her nerve and turned to leave, but was stopped by a gentle hand on her arm. She turned back around slowly, meeting patient eyes with her own hesitant ones.
“I think I’ve fallen in love with you.” She admitted in a whisper.
Emma regarded Regina, taking in every feature on her face, looking for any sign that this was a joke. She wouldn’t have admitted it to herself before that moment, but she desperately wanted and needed Regina’s words to be true.
“Please, tell me I’m crazy, or say anything.” Regina added quietly after a few moments of silence. Emma was supposed to laugh at her, or tell her that she shouldn’t feel the way she did, or something! What she got, however, was not at all what she expected.
Tentatively Emma closed the space between them, her eyes never leaving Regina’s. Still she waited for any sign that this wasn’t real, wasn’t true. When she didn’t get one, she gave the smallest of smiles before leaning in and giving an unsuspecting Regina a feather light kiss.
Regina pulled back a little bit, closing her eyes for a second before opening and asking, “You mean…?”

Emma nodded with a goofy smile, “I think I’ve fallen in love with you too.”
